摘要
英语总体教学法从“语言是思维”、“语言是交际”的理念出发,强调开发学习者自身的潜能,发挥学习积极性,激发创造力,全面发展听、说、读、写等各种技能,重视语言输入与输出过程,以内容教学为核心,提倡小组合作和自主学习,以切实提高学习者的英语水平。
This essay focuses on the Global Method based on the notions that language is thinking and language is communication. It emphasizes development of learners’ potentials, exertion of their initiative and inspiration of their creativity, thus fully developing their skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. It thinks highly of learners’ process of language input and output, views thematic teaching as its core and advocates panel work and autonomy in learning, in the hope of practically improving learners’ English.
