Computer animation simulation is an important part of the software in CAD of pumping units. The animated cartoons will be displayed directly hy the video memory swiftly and without scintillation. A six-bar incremental-stroke beam pumping unit is simulated on the computer, and the moving pictures of the running of the unit, the curves of the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the polished rod, and the curves of relevant torques are displayed simultaneously through different windows on different pictures.
