By researching into the representative novels about the Culture Revolution, which were written at the turning point from the late 70s to the beginning of 80s, this paper attempts to reinterpret their narrative logic and the cultural background. These contexts, which are reflections on the Revolution Culture under the trend of emancipation of ideas, commonly show a series of sensibility patterns of Mother and Son and the cultural archetype which is reluctant to separate from the traditional culture. These sensibility patterns and cultural archetype became legally effective resources for political criticism that were available to the intellectuals. Idealized interpretation of and firm belief in such sensibility patterns and cultural archetype are also a reflection of the most absurd political facets of the Cultural Revolution.
