Low-Temperature and High-Activity Catalysts in the Reduction of Sodium Sulfate to Anhydrous Sodium Sulfite by Hydrogen

摘要 以过渡金属元素氧化物为催化剂,在500-620℃下研究了氢气还原硫酸钠反应的催化活性。结果表明,加入催化剂量1%时,低于500℃各催化剂均无活性;在550-620℃,Co2O3无活性,TiO2活性较低,而Fe2O3,NiO和V2O5显示了良好的催化活性,硫酸钠转化率达到90%以上,且具有高于无催化剂时的反应速率,是适用于该反应的低温高活性催化剂,有效避免高于620℃时硫化钠与硫酸钠的共熔现象。 The catalytic activities of the transition metal oxide were investigated in the reduction of anhydrous sodium sulfate by hydrogen at 500-620℃. The results indicated that all these catalysts had no activities with the temperature lower than 500℃ when the concentration of the catalysts was 1%. Under the temperature of 550℃-620℃, the catalyst Co2O3 had no activity and the catalyst TiO2 had low one, but Fe2O3, NiO and V2O5 showed very high catalytic activities, and the conversions of sodium sulfate reached over 90%. Based on these, it was concluded that Fe2O3, NiO and V2O5 were worthy to be developed further due to their high activities, high reaction rates and no co melting of Na2SO4 and Na2S in the low temperature.
