Ecological Risk Assessment is a new marginal subject which studies issues on risk theory,modern ecology and environmental science.And it is an important part of environment impact assessment.Currently,quantitative assessing and integrative study of ecological risk is a significant issue in the world.This paper tries to study its basic prosperities and the primary definitions related to ecological risk assessment (ERA).Chiefly,It concretely reflects the ecological costs and risks,which are suffered in the process of urbanization.Methods of ecological risk assessment and some theories related to it are discussed.
