The theory and practice of personalized teaching have gone through a long way from the ancient times to the modern times. On the long journey, information technology provides essential substance foundation and technology support for the personalized teaching. Firstly, this article looks back three traditional technology-based personalized teaching pattern; secondly, it explores the personalized teaching under the e-Learning environment and puts forward a new personalized teaching pattern; finally, it discusses a few key questions related to the new personalized teaching pattern.
