The Impossibility and Possibility of Dialogues Between Eastern and Western Translatology

西方译论在世界近、现代的译论史上一直占着霸权话语的地位。它对我国译论正面影响是拓宽了我们的思维视野 ;其负面影响则是 ,它既导致了我们对民族译论记忆的淡薄 ,又束缚了民族译论的原创性。我们的当务之急是 ,在发现中西译论差异性的基础上寻求其间有效对话 ;在对话的基础上建构我们自己的原创性译论体系。

The history of world translatology is that of the monologue by Western translatology.Accepting Western translatology leads to the indifference to the tradition of Chinese translatology. Western translatology broadens our vision but meanwhile weakens our creativity. Thus, our urgency is to find the differrences between Chinese and Western translatology and to have effective dialogues with western scholars. In this way, we may create our original translatology.
