The great conception of 'One Country, Two Systems' shines brilliantly as a result of Deng Xiaoping's theoretical innovation. Developing Marxism creatively with new thinking and new method, Deng Xiaoping conceived and put forward a solution to the issue left over by history. Deng's theoretical innovation that finds expression in the conception of 'One Country, Two Systems' is reflected in the following five aspects: (1) the great conception of 'One Country, Two Systems' is an exact application and an important development of the contradiction and oneness theory, which is one part of the dialectical law in Marxist philosophy; (2) it is an innovation in Marxist theory about state, which has broken through the traditional ideas; (3) it is a fresh advancement in Leninist and Mao Zedong' s strategic thought about constructing socialism by means of capitalism; (4) it is a flexible application and development of the principle of peaceful coexistence; (5) it is a creative application and development of Marxist theory concerning the united front.
