摘要
文章从固话运营商的角度出发,讨论了固话运营商是否需要投资3G,并从可选3G网络、融资能力和参与移动通信市场竞争能力等方面分析了固话运营商建设3G网络的可能性。TD-SCDMA标准和WCDMA标准均存在一些很难克服的技术缺陷,不宜参与3G网络的建设,cdma20001x又为中国联通所用。实际上,固话运营商只需努力完善小灵通网络并利用其各种网络优势,也能继续发展。
From the viewpoint of fixed telephone operator, whether it is necessary for them to invest in 3G is discussed in the paper. The feasibility for them to construct a 3G network is considered in several aspects, such as available 3G standards to be selected from, the ability to finance, the capability to compete in mobile telecommunication and so on. Both TD-SCDMA and WCDMA have some technical drawbacks which are difficult to overcome, so they are not suitable to be deployed in a 3G network. CDMA2000 1x has already been adopted by China Unicom. In fact, if the fixed telephone operators try to optimize their PAS network and take advantage of various kinds of networks, they can also achieve continuous development.
