The year of 2004 marked the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. They have been acknowledged as the guiding rules for international relations, as well as the basis on which to build a new order of world economy and politics. In the present situation, adhering to the five principles remains important for the peaceful development of Asian and the world.
