柳子人生的爱与忧——兼论柳宗元的民族精神

柳宗元身上的有着宽厚的仁爱思想和强烈的忧患意识,这不仅影响了他的人生道路、处世方式和文学创作,也集中的体现了我们民族可贵精神。在柳宗元的一生中,无论在顺境,还是在逆境,始终没有忘记的是仁爱和忧患。在他的创作中,无论是何种体裁,无论是那个时期的作品,贯穿始终的主线都是爱与忧。仁爱和忧患在柳宗元身上,又表现为互为因果关系。因仁爱,忧患意识表现得更为强烈;因忧患,仁爱表现得更为宽厚。他的人生悲剧,可以说,是仁爱和忧患的悲剧。他的不朽,也是仁爱和忧患精神的不朽,是民族精神的不朽。

The generous benevolence thought and keen sense of concern for the fate of his country reflected by LIU Zong-yuan (柳宗元) not only influence his life-style, the way he behaves in society and his literary creation, but also concentratedly reflect the praiseworthy spirit of our nation. LIU never forget benevolence and concern for the fate of his country no matter he is in favorable or adverse circumstances throughout his life. In his literary creation, the main theme penetrating his works is love and concern regardless to genres and the time when he creates the works. Benevolence and concern for the country embodied by LIU Zong-yuan show a relationship of cause and effect. Because of love, he shows greater and stronger concern for the fate of his country; and because of love, his benevolence is more generous and broader. The tragedy of his life is, in a sense, the tragedy of benevolence and feelings of anxiety. The immorality of his spirit is the immorality of benevolence and concern for the country as well as that of national spirit.
