《庄子》塑造的众多残疾人形象,以《德充符》一篇尤为突出,反映了残疾人从认识自我到完善超越自我的过程,代表了《庄子》中残疾人的精神。《庄子》残疾人新的寓意就在于:他们不是从人道上或是法律上给残疾人以帮助,而是从精神上给现实的残疾人以榜样的力量,给他们从精神上指出了一条超越残缺自我的光明之路。
