In this paper, the particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm is used to estimate the parameters of nonlinear system model(NSM). The effectiveness of the PSO algorithm is tested by parameter estimation of glutamic acid bacterium growth model. The experimental results show that the PSO algorithm provides an effective method to estimate parameters of NSM.
