On the Textual Research and Chronology of Yang Xiong's Works

扬雄是西汉末年的思想家、文学家和语言学家,著述繁多,据文献记载有47部(篇),可分为哲学、史学、文学、语言文字及其它五大类。

Yang Xiong, a famous thinker,writer and linguist in the last year of the Werstern Han Dynasty, had many works. According to literature his works amount to forty-seven. His works can be classified to philosophy, the science of history, literature, spoken and written language and others.
