MPEG-7 and Multimedia Content Description

本文阐述了利用 XML 文档按照 MPEG-7标准描述多媒体数据的趋势。MPEG-7称为“多媒体内容描述接口”,主要由描述器,描述方案和描述定义语言组成。MPEG-7与数字图书馆之间具有许多协同性,MPEG-7中定义的多媒体内容描述将使数字图书馆的信息检索具有更大的效率,也可以较好地解决目前不同数字图书馆中的互操作性和没有统一标准的问题。本文讨论了以 DC,MPEG-7和特定的阶层结构为基础来描述音视频资源。

This paper presents a tendency of XML documents based on MPEG-7 standard to multi- media data.MPEG-7 is called“multimedia content description interface”,which consists of descrip- tors,description schema and description definition language.It is closely related to digital library,can be use to enhance the efficiency of information retrieval of digital library,and can solve the present problems in standardization and interoperability.This paper discusses a hybrid schema describing video based on Dublin Core,MPEG-7 and a specific hierarchical structure.
