在知识经济到来之际,大学从社会边缘走向了社会中心。大学的使命不仅是传授知识,而且要培育学生的创新能力,因而必须形成独具特色的文化精神,在传授知识的过程中,形成学生坚持不懈的追求精神和创造性运用知识解决问题的能力,以适应社会变革和发展的需要。

At the time of intellectual knowledge's coming, college has become the center of our society instead of at the edge of the society. The purpose of college is not only to pass the knowledge, but also to cultivate students' creativity. So college should form its own cultural spirits. During the process of passing knowledge, in order to meet the need of social reform and development, we should cultivate students' persistent pursuit spirit and the ability of using knowledge to solve problem creatively.
