Cultural Build and the Development of a Well-off Society

党的十六大提出的全面建设小康社会为中国社会经济发展提出了更高的目标和要求,在建设全面小康的过程中,我们要始终坚持以经济建设为中心,在加强社会主义物质文明建设的同时,还要注重社会主义精神文明建没,尤其要加强社会主义文化建设,大力发展教育、科学和文化事业,不断提高全社会的思想文化水平,为经济发展和社会进步提供强大的精神动力和智力支持。

A well-off society's construction in an all-round way which was put forward by the 16th People's Congress of Chinese Communist Party raises a higher purpose and claim for Chinese social economic development. During the process of a well-off society's construction in an all-round way, we should insist that economic construction be our central problem all the time. We should emphasize socialism cultural and ideological progress as well as material civilization progress, especially strengthen cultural progress, greatly develop education, science and cultural career, constantly improve the whole social ideological and cultural level, provide powerful spiritual motive force and intellectual support for economic development and social progress.
