On Translation Teaching of Business and Trade

文体是语言因交际功能的差异而形成的各种变体。商贸文件是人们在商贸交际中约定俗成的一种应用文体规范。它有许多不同于其它文体的特点。本文从词汇、句法、语篇和修辞结构等层次对商贸文件的特点进行归纳和总结,并提出商贸翻译教学应以功能翻译理论为指导、以案例教学模式为主的教学观点,为培养合格的外贸业务员和外贸翻译人才做出努力。

Style is the variation resulted from the differences of the communicative functions. Business and trade style, with many features different from otherstyles, isan application style accepted through commonpractice in the business cycle throughout the world. Summing up the features of business and trade style in levels of vocabulary, syntax, discourse and rhetoric, this paper puts forward that translation teaching of business and trade can use the model of case study with the guidance of functional transla- tion theory.Therefore,thetranslation teachingcan carry outthe viewpointof combining functionaltranslationtheory with case study.
