Geochemical Survey has paid a leading role in discocery of a gold deposit in western Sichuan.in geochemical features and ore-hunting indicators of the deposit were investigated at first, then dispersion trains reconnai ssance for the whole district and detail survey for some ore occurrenceswere conducted, and finally a related geochemical pattern of gold deposits as a theoretical basis wasselected to guide the exploration work. It is considered that working in this way will speed up theprocess of gold exploration by geochemical prospecting.
