大东港是我国沿海最北端的一个港口。由于鸭绿江的水文环境,使该港区具有独特的泥沙规律,文章介绍该港在有关专家的指导下,大东港的起步建设获得成功,在整治和挖泥方面做到投入少、效果好,为续建工程提供了宝贵经验。同时指出为大东港的长治久安和开发远景,还需进一步加强勘测研究工作。

Dadong Port is the northernmost port along the coast of China.Owing to thehydrologic regime of Yalujiang River, this port area possesses unique sedimentrules. It is introduced that under direction of relevant specialists, the primaryconstruction of Dadong Port has achieved great success,esp.in the aspects of re-gulation and dredging(featuring in less input and good effect),and thus pre-cious experience has heen provided for the extension project of the port. Mean-while, it is pointed out that for safety and long-range development of Dadongport,survey and study work need to be further strengthened.
