摘要
１９８１～１９９５年对佛山市城区居民死亡情况统计，结果出生率缓慢下降，死亡率呈正常波动，自然增长率随出生率而波动。居民平均寿命为７１岁，历年女性平均寿命都比男性高出４岁以上。１５年来死因顺位不断变化，８０年代主要是呼吸系病、恶性肿瘤等，９０年代转变为恶性肿瘤、脑血管病等。肺癌、肝癌稳居恶性肿瘤第一、二位，以肺癌的死亡率增长较快。
On the basis of the statistics data in Foshan city area from 1981 to 1995, the following result were found, the birth rate dropped slowly year by year, death rate fluctuated normally and the change of natural increase population followed that of birth rate. The average length was 71 years and women's average length was 4 years longer than the men's. The rank oder of cause of death changed with time. The main causes of death in 1980's were respiratory diseases and malignant tumor, and malignant tumor and cerebrovascular diseases in 1995's, Lung cancer and liver cancer were the top tow in malignant tumor in this period of time and the death rate of lung cancer increased more rapidly.
