连云港经济技术开发区根据总体规划要求和发展外向型经济的特点,充分发挥老市区的有利条件和紧邻港口、交通方便、腹地宽广等优势,运用'全面规划、分片开发、方便实用、滚动发展、逐步完善'的规划手法,在建设中积极探索,大胆实践,不断调整,走出了一条投资少、速度快、效益好、应变能力强的建设发展路子。

Lianyungang Economic and Technical Development Zone has superior geographical position at the coast of North China with a very good transportation system. It attachs to the original city of Lianyungang, and can make a good use of the public facilities of the city. From the features and the construction practices of the zone in the last few years, the authors summarize the principles of rational layout, development in instalments and pragmatism for the planning and construction. They also introduce the experience of the zone on making full use of space, improving the investment environment and accelerating new enterprises to go into operation, etc.
