摘要
近年来活跃在日本建筑界的青年女建筑师妹岛和世，近期进行了一项旨在研究集合住宅中建筑体量与周边环境各项因素关系的研究课题。作者试通过介绍她和她的这项研究课题，使更多的人了解这位崭露头角的日本女建筑师，并且为研究有关项目的人员，提供一些新思路和新视点。
Kazuyo Sejima, a youngwoman architect active in Japan, hasrecently been engaged in a researchon the relations between housingsand their surroundings. By introducing this rising woman architect andher research, we hope she and herwork will be better known to professional personnel concerned and afford them new concepts and perspectives.
