The paper describes the principle and method in calculating the number of theoretical column tray of the rectified column with I-X-Y diagram and has calculated the number of theoretical column tray with I-X-Y diagram and Y-X diagram respectively.The result shows that the calculation with I-X-Y di- agram is more accurate than that with Y-X diagram.
