A simple and accurate methodis is described for the routine determination of phthalates in the exhaust-gas from PVC factory by gas chromatograhpy(GC).The phthalates in 10-30 L of the exhaust-gas are collected in 10ml of isopropanol or n-butanol,and then measured by HP-5890 GC equipped with an HP-5MS column and HP-5972 MSD.
