由于观测数据的有限性并存在误差,地震反演求得的模型是实际模型在一定范围内的平均值,其结果存在非惟一性。地震反演结果的评价应建立在现有观测数据精度和尺度基础上,在方差和分辨率之间进行折中。盲目地提高分辨率,可使方差过大造成反演失败。

The non-uniqueness existed in results of seismic inversion because of the limitations and error existed in observa-tions and the model derived by seismic inversion is an average value of the true model in a certain range. The results ofseismic inversion should be evaluated based on the precision and scale of present observations, and compromised be-tween variance and resolution. Blindly improving the resolution can make the variance too large and cause seismic in-version fail.
