采访手记: 据说,鞍山,源于一个象形的汉字,是一个象形的城市名称。鞍形的山,是这座城市的象征。 鞍山,因钢设市: 鞍山,以钢成都。 “鞍山——共和国的长子”。曾经是令盂泰、王崇伦等为代表的几代鞍钢工人兄弟倍感骄傲与自豪的称号。沐浴着风雨的黎明,从1948年12月26日鞍山钢铁公司成立开始了鞍山的辉煌历程。

Anshan, called ' Steal Metropolis ', is the largest base of iron and steel in China, in which Anshan Iron & Steel Co., as the first of its kind in China, has played a crucial role in the economic development. But in 1990 s, during the transfer from planned economy to market economy, Anshan faced a huge challenge, and many problems emerged: management system old-fashioned, markets shrinking, and a large amount of workers laid-off. In 1998, a new municipal government formed. Since then, they have led Anshan people to a struggle. Now, a great change is appearing to the world. The government administrates the city by a consulting system with the leaders of Anshan Iron & Steal Co., develops the city by making use of tourism resources, accumulates fund for the city by attracting foreign investment and business, by selling state-owned land-use rights by means of tender, auction or listing, beautifies the city by the construction of infrastructure facilities and improve the environment.
