A Way of Dealing with Cultural Factor in College English Teaching

本文通过分析语言与文化的关系,以及跨文化交际时的一些失误,提出公共英语教学中应该正确处理文化的教学,本文还简述了知识文化与交际文化的异同,并强调英语文化教学中应突出交际文化的教学,最后指出了公共英语教学中文化教学的总体把握方向。

Through analyzing the relationship between language and culture and the cross - cultural pragmatic, this thesis suggests that English teacher should deal with the cultural factor properly in their teaching. It also states briefly the differences between intellectual culture and communicative culture, emphasizes that more attention should be paid to communicative culture in college English teaching. Finally, this thesis proposes a way of how to cope with cultural factor in college English teaching practice.
