南阳古代独玉初探

独玉即独山玉 ,因矿体产自独山而得名。南阳独玉的开采与加工经历了起源、发展、衰落、复兴四个阶段 ,有六七千年的历史 ,遗物非常丰富。依其器类、用途和社会功能等划分 ,可分为生产玉、装饰玉、仪礼玉、丧葬玉、生活玉、观赏玉、其他玉等。

Du jade,also called Dushan jade,is named after the place of its origin.The exploiting and processing of the jade includes the four phases,i.e. origin,development,decline and rejuvenation.It has a history with six or seven thousand years and plentiful ruins.According to its use and social function,the jade is divided into the production jade,ornamental jade,ritual jade,Jade buried with the dead,Jade for pleasure and enjoyment,etc.
