摘要
中国刺绣工艺历史悠久，大师辈出，清末民初的沈寿就是其中最杰出的代表之一，她被称为“绣圣”、“神针”。沈寿总结继承传统刺绣技艺，借鉴欧美素描、油画和日本刺绣，创造了仿真绣，把中国刺绣工艺推向新的高峰。
Shen Shou (1874-1921), also named Xue Jun, Master of Tianxiang Studio, born in Wu County, Jiangsu, was a famousembroidery artist and educator. She was gifted and learned embroidering from her elder sister Shen Li when she was veryyoung. She developed the traditional embroidery stitches and invented emulation embroidery. She also won quite manyinternational prizes. In 1914 she was appointed the principal of the school of needlecraft of Nantong, teaching embroidery,and had about twenty apprentices.
