摘要
中国美术一向以中国画为主体，中国文化的源流发展也可从中国画的变迁中表现出来。中国画的起点远在文字之前，算来到如今至少已是四千多年了。这四千多年的变迁粗略的可分为三个阶段第一阶段是由上古至魏晋南北朝，其间中国艺术从无到有，从荫芽逐渐成长，具有民族特色的中国画基础及审美标准确立第二阶段由隋唐到清末，这是中国画的黄金时期，无论起技巧、格调、绘画理论等都有高峰，都极为辉煌第三阶段则是鸦片战争至今，社会的变革，现代化的注入，中国画在动荡的时局中彷徨，探索，发展。
