There is natural linkage between political multilatralization and economic globalization. Globalization has provided social economic environment for political multilateralization. The unbalance of globalization has made the process of multilateralization complex and full of ups and downs. The multilateralization under the circumstances of globalization demands the joint participation of the developing countries. The essence of multilateralization is democratization of international relations. Its institutional guarantee is the new international political and economic order. Economic regionalization is an imperative phase and a long term external form of globalization. The essence of economic regionalization is economic multilateralization, constituting the foundation for political multilateralization. China should actively adjust itself to and participate in the process of economic regionalization.
