偏振模色散及偏振相关损耗对光传输链路相关特性的影响 被引量:2

Impacts of Polarization Dependent Loss and Polarization Mode Dispersion on the Autocorrelation Function of the Output Polarization States of Optical Transmission Link

摘要 在同时考虑偏振模色散(PMD)及偏振相关损耗(PDL)情况下,分别通过理论和蒙特-卡罗方法研究了光传输链路的输出信号偏振态相关函数。首先,从理论上得到了光传输链路的输出信号偏振态相关函数的解析表达式,而后,利用蒙特-卡罗方法进行了模拟研究,理论和模拟的结果能很好地吻合。研究结果表明,当光传输链路的偏振模色散值不变时,随着传输链路偏振相关损耗的增大,输出偏振态归一化自相关函数的线宽变宽;而在光传输链路的偏振相关损耗一定的情况下,随着光传输链路的偏振模色散的增大输出偏振态归一化自相关函数的线宽变窄。 The autocorrelation function of the output polarization states of the optical transmission links in presence of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and polarization dependent loss (PDL) was investigated by theory and Monte-Carlo simulation method. An analytical expression for the autocorrelation function was obtained by theory, and it is fit well with the result of the simulation. The results show that the bandwidth of the normalized autocorrelation function increases with increasing the polarization dependent loss, and the bandwidth decreases with increasing the polarization mode dispersion.
