Dialogue between Urban Matrix and Landmark Architecture——Architectural Design of PLA Art Edifice

"解放军艺术大厦"建筑设计中,以解读城市母体为出发点,从建筑尺度、单元构成和空间序列的形成等方面,实现对城市空间的契合与归纳,整体形成连续、开放的空间体系。采用系统设计的手法把握建筑基本使用功能的同时,拓展建筑对环境的适应性和可塑性。

Starting with unscrambling the urban matrix, the architectural design of PLA art edifice realized the accord and summarization of the urban space from the following aspects: architecture scale, unit structure and forming of space sequence, so the integer forms the continuous and open space system. While adopting the technique of systemic design to grasp basic function of the edifice, the design developed its adaptability and plasticity to the environment.
