The Formation of Unmarked English Sentences and Their Morphologic Features

采用英语语料分析方法,探讨产生英语语言形态与语义不吻合现象的原因,结果发现,言者词性的选择或词缀的选用是产生这一语言现象的原因。不吻合现象一般出现在由不同的词性或词缀生成的非标识性语句中。英语非标识性语句的概念首次提出与界定了语言的五种主要形态。

With the method of analyzing the structure of original English sentences, the paper discusses the reasons of the disharmony between the syntactic meaning and the semantic meaning. The result is that the disharmony is caused by the part of speech and the affix used by a particular speaker, and mainly takes the form of unmarked sentences which are characterized by five morphologic features. The concept of the term′unmarked sentences′is raised and defined for the first time.
