The religious explaination to the “sex turns” phenomena of bonze and nun、Taoist priest in the sexual novel

在明清艳情小说里 ,佛教和道教人物形象存在着普遍的“性化”现象。这样一种文学现象的产生 ,是佛教和道教中的某些修炼义理和方法在具有浓郁世俗精神的中国文化里存在、发展的一种必然结果。同时 ,历史上少数僧尼、道士行为的放荡和佛、道、儒三教之间的相互攻讦是这种现象产生的另一诱因。

In sexual novel of the Ming and Qing dynasty, the phenomenon of “sex turns” of the images of the Buddhism and the Taoism are general. The emergence of this kind of phenomenon is an inevitable outcome of some religious praxes existing and developing in Chinese literature with common customs sprite. Another reason contributing to this kind of phenomenon is the debauchery of bonze and Taoist and the censures among the three religions——the Buddhism、the Taoism and the Confucianism.
