Synthetic LNPP laser glass is a stoichiometrical amorphous sub-stance which combines the property of crystal with that of glass.It is a novelglass laser medium with high energy storage,high gain and high repetitionrate and will be found advantageous to the miniaturization of the laser devi-ce.In this paper the main points of preparation technique and the basicproperties of LNPP glass are described.
