The new left movement in America during the 1960s came as a result of the conglomeration of various contradictions in the country's modernization, and it was also the consequence of economics, culture and politics acting collectively. The distinct contrast between the possibility to solve the social problems brought about by economic prosperity and the social reality fomented more rebellious consciousness; Cultural anomie appearing during the process of economic development animated people to seek the solution to it; economic prosperity carried the education forward, which led to the fervent awareness of group and made preparations both ideologically and organizationally for the movement; and the political factor provided political environment and fostered political consciousness for it. By using it for reference it can benefit those countries such as China in its transition period.
