The concepts are introduced about data warehouse and data mining on-line, along with Analytical Processing (OLAP) and ActiveX Data Objects Multidimensional (ADO MD), which can be used in decision support system (DSS) for chain stores distribution. Based on the system, explanation is made on how to build a data warehouse, set up a cube for OLAP analysis, and mine data by MDX.
