多媒体流量在VOD中的一种控制策略

摘要  宽带网的普及使VOD(videoondemand)的应用越来越广泛,但是由于其缓冲区的有限长度加上干扰的作用,使得播放质量受到了限制,而传统的PI控制难以消除这一缺点.因此,在反馈控制理论框架的基础上,借用均匀液位的思想,消除由于传输延迟和干扰带来的不利影响,使缓冲区长度运行在一定的范围之内,提高播放质量. The application of VOD has been expanded rapidly with the popularization of broadband integrated services digital network.But the playback quality of VOD is not guaranteed because of great time delay and distrubance. It is difficult for conventional PI control to overcome them.On the basis of the control-theoric scheme of rate-based flow control,a new feedback control is designed to eliminate the adverse effect caused by propagation delay and keep buffer occupancy running at a given level. Then the playback quality of VOD is greatly improved.
