邓小平新时期区域经济发展战略思想十分丰富。依据我国生产力发展规律及初级阶段的基本国情，邓小平提出允许一部分地区先富起来，先富带后富，加快经济发展，实现共同富裕；以东部地区为先导，由沿海向内地逐步推进经济发展，并提出了东西轮动的“两个大局”思想。这一战略思想，是我们实施“西部大开发”、“振兴东北地区等老工业基地”的理论依据，也是科学发展观的思想基础。

Deng Xiao-ping' s idea on the development strategy of regional economy in the new era is quite rich. He pat forward that it's permitled that some region could become rich, which could stimulate those who are still poor become rich some day and step up the derelopment of economy and that the eart region should lead the way of promoting the development of economy of the inner areas. These cdeas have become the cheoretieal base of other economic strategies.
