College graduates from vocational institutes: backbone of the sustainable development of local economy—Performance report of graduates from Shiyan Technical Institute

高职院校完全能够根据当地企业的需要确定其人才培养目标,专业设置贴近实际,培养出大批"下得去、留得住、用得上",能适应生产、建设、管理、服务第一线的高技能人才。高职院校要继续深化改革,加快发展速度,努力创新人才培养模式,壮大办学实力。同时,还要切实做到以人为本,推进学生素质教育向更深层次发展,并且加大社会宣传力度,营造良好的办学环境和氛围。

Vocational institute should, in compliance with the need and requirement of local enterprises, adjust its specialty and aim of personnel training so as to train large quantities of skilled talents willing to offer life-long service in the forefront where they are most needed, such as the forefront of production, construction, management and tertiary sectors as well. Therefore, vocational institutes and colleges are supposed to continue deepening reform, accelerating development, innovating personnel training mode and strengthening their competency. Meanwhile, they should observe the principle of 'people oriented' to promote quality-oriented education, and devote more efforts to publicity to create sound school environment and atmosphere.
