湖州方言在英语语音系统习得中的负向迁移及其对策

The Negative Transfer of Huzhou Dialect in the Acquisition of English Phonetic System and Its Solutions

作为汉语的一种地域变体,湖州方言具有结构系统上的自身特点。如果以对比语音学为基本理论框架,着重从元音、辅音、声调等维度探讨湖州方言的语音体系对英语语音子系统习得的负面影响,那么就会在教学实践中帮助学生克服方言语音的负向迁移,习得准确的目标语语音系统,增强跨文化交际能力。

Chinese and English belong to different language families, ChineseTibetan Language Family and IndoEuropean Language Family respectively. As a regional variation of Chinese, Huzhou Dialect has its own characteristics in structure and system. Taking Contrastive Phonetics as its basic theoretical frame and the levels of vowel, consonant, and intonation/tone into consideration, this paper mainly explores the negative effects of the phonetic system of Huzhou Dialect upon the acquisition of the English phonetic system. It also offers plausible solutions in teaching practice so as to help students overcome the negative transfer of dialectal phonetic system, acquire an accurate phonetic system of the target language and enhance the ability of crosscultural communication.
