略论中英文化发展中的趋同现象

On the Identical Features In the Development of Chinese and English Cultures

改革开放以来,中英文化的频繁接触导致了英汉文化的剧烈碰撞与交融。虽然人们一直在着重强调英汉文化的差异,但实际上,由于受西方文化,尤其是英美文化的冲击,我国传统的汉语文化已发生了变革,英汉文化的发展在某些方面出现了趋同现象,并已逐步渗透到中国社会的各个领域。

Since the adoption of the opendoor policy in China, there have always existed some largescale conflicts and assimilations between Chinese culture and Western ones along with the constant crosscultural exchanges. Public attention is always focused on the difference between the two kinds of cultures, but the truth is that the Chinese traditional culture has changed dramatically under the influence of Western cultures, especially of British and American ones. Moreover, the two kinds of cultures tend to become more and more identical in many respects and this tendency has already been shown in all fields in China.
