中日长篇小说的起源对照

On the origin of Sino-Japanese novels

中日各自的第一部长篇小说《三国演义》与《源氏物语》 ,在创作上既有类同之处 ,又具有各自的特点 ,类同揭示了中国文体对日本小说创作的影响 ,相异则阐述了中国长篇为何比日本晚生 3 0 0多年。本文专门针对后者加以分析 ,探讨人们对物语、小说概念的认识差异以及创作环境的不同对小说产生所起到的阻挠或促进的作用。

As the first novels of China and Japan respectively, both the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Genji Monogatari have some similarities and differences in literary production. The similarities indicate the influences of Chinese style on the Japanese novel production, while the differences show the reasons why Chinese novels appeared 300 years later than Japanese. The present article intends to illustrate the latter, mainly discussing the differences in understanding such two concepts as story and novel, as well as the influences of different writing environments on the novel production.
