语言与文化关系密切。中西文化差异在词汇层面也有所体现。本文用对比法分析了中西文化差异在词汇层面的体现,说明了掌握英语词汇文化内涵的重要性,指出英语词汇教学中一定要注意英语词汇的文化内涵,从而帮助学生提高文化敏感度,提高跨文化交际水平。

There are close relations between language and culture. The differences between eastern and western cultures can also be embodied on the words. The paper, by using comparative ways, analyses the differences between eastern and western cultures embodied on words, and shows that it is very important to know the cultural connotation of words, and suggests that great attention should be paid on the cultural connotation of words in English words teaching to improve students' English reading comprehension and cross-cultural competence.
