DMTF Common Information Model (CIM) is a conceptual information model for describing computing entities in system management domain, attempting to unify and extend the existing instrumentation and management standards(SNMP, DMI, CMIP, etc.). A reference implementation of management system is presented by using the CIM modeling language and methodology. The skeletons of management system under the CIM Spec is firstly introduced, then the specifics of this implementation are probed.Finally, the design points that extend from the Spec in general are illustrated.
