中国大学英语教学误区折射──中国留学生海外生活调查 被引量:1

Implication for College English Teaching in China──Review on Chinese Student's USA Campus Life Experiences

摘要 本文通过对一组中国留学生留学生活的调查阐述了中美教育体系、学习理念、方法的差异。留学生在美学习期间对英语阅读理解、专业学习、校园设施和社交生活的适应过程 ,反映了我国教育领域存在的误区和盲区。缺乏科学的教育理论的指导 ,导致了我国学生应试能力强 ,应用能力差 ,以及英语教学高投入、低产出的现状。广大英语教师应对现状进行思考。 This study investigated a group of Chinese students' study and daily life experiences at a U.S.A. university. The study showed that, though Chinese students are capable of coping with English exams, they are quite weak in application. This was due to the differences between the Chinese and U.S.A. educational systems and concepts, as well as pedagogies. In their new study and living environment Chinese students experienced a hard time in adjusting themselves in English reading comprehension, academic study, utilization of campus equipment and services, and their social interaction with Americans. The result indicated the urgent necessity for China's TESOL field to divert English teaching from text-oriented learning to the improvement of students' application skills.
