Eight Notes of Yongzhou are Liu Zongyuan's representative essays of landscape,in which strong feelings of upset and resentment are embodied.These feelings are of rich cultural meanings.First,they inherit the aesthetic tradition of comparing personality to mountain and water.Second,they deveolp Qu Yuan's spirit of resentment and sarcasm.Third,they contain optimistic and progressive spirit of Confucian humanitarian.Fourth,they display the phylosopical state of harmony between nature and human.
