A Research on the Sexist Language

语言是一种社会现象。社会大系统中的某些要素 ,如 :地理环境、社会地位、人际关系以及性别等对人们的语言有着一定的影响。英语是从男性占主导地位的社会发展演变而来的 ,它的许多词汇和语法都不可避免地带有排斥或贬低妇女的倾向。用不带性别歧视色彩的中性语言来替代性歧视语言是研究和解决这一问题的主要方法。

Language is a social phenomenon.To some extent,some factors in the social system,such as geographical environment,social status, personal relationships and sex, have been influencing people's languages.The English language has evolved in a patriarchal or male-dominated society.As a result,much of its vocabulary and grammar tends to exclude and demean women.An important approach to solve the problem is to replace sexist language with neutral language.
